ᴇʟʟᴀ.
After that out of the blue encounter, back at that cafe which was about two days from now.
I ended up receiving his phone number.
Now I don't even know what I did was the right thing to do or not, but nothing seems wrong about him, maybe it's his charm he Carries around, or maybe it's just him.
Blayze.
I Look down at the screen of my phone, tapping at where I put his contact information.
The moment replays in my head, a little smile appears on my lips as I think of that random encounter, thinking of his tone from the way he speaks, his figure, those dark ocean eyes that made my cheeks flush so unexpectedly and his perfectly brushed brown hair, everything. It's like I'm being slowly pushed into a dark hole where there's no escape, but it makes me want to fall into it knowing that you won't be able to come out of it once you're in. "Is there any good news?" My body flinches at the sudden words, as I look up to see Chief Marco staring down at me by my desk, I get up from my seat and salute him. "Chief!" I say As he shakes his head and gives me a slight grin then walks over to his desk. "Did you find anything?" He says as he lays down the papers he was holding onto his desk, flipping through them, I shake my head and sit back down. "I know it's a murder, I know it is but.. chief it's impossible to find out just who exactly did it." I say as I put my hands on the sides of my head trying to focus on the photographs, then I put my phone to the side, turning it off so I don't get any more distracted from blayze, I need to focus. I can't forget my duty and promises I made to the chief. "It's okay detective Ella, you have the case in your hands now, and if you need a partner I can assist- "No." I say as I get back up and look down at the chief. "I can do it."
I say in a low tone, then turn away from my desk and grab my phone, tucking it into the pockets of my coat. And walking off after saluting one last time.
"Emergency!!!"
One of the other detectives rushes inside running towards the chief, I turn my head back in response and quickly rush back in.
"What's going—
"Someone by 24th avenue was reported deceased."
24th avenue?
Isn't that?
"Understood." I salute the other detective, as he rushes out with me. Followed by the chief too.
_____
I knew it.
It's close to cocoa's.
I rush out of the car quickly as the others follow behind me and separate while looking around the area.
"Oh my god—" One of the detectives, Maya, says under her breath as she covers her mouth with her hand.
I walk in behind her and look at what she's seeing through her eyes as Maya backs up leaving me space to look, I gasp as I look closely.
A man that looks around his 30s is found laying on this dead end alley nearby cocoas, his skull bleeding and slightly opened with an axe poking out of the middle of his head and a pool of blood surrounding his lifeless body. His eyes are rolled back into his head and mouth agape.
Fucking crazy psycho.
My eyes shut in response as I look away from the scene and walk over to the chief.
the chief takes a look at the body and snaps photos of the crime scene as I take notes, opening my notepad and looking around the alley for any other clues, other than the axe.
"There's something here.." Maya says as she shuffles in and crouches down near the body, searching with her flashlight on.
I scurry over to her side and crouch down as well, taking a look at where her flashlight is pointing towards, a half broken mirror with blood drops sliding down the edges comes in my sight as she flashes the light on it more.
I take in the condition of the mirror and write it down in my notepad, looking up and down several times.
_____
We head back to the station as everyone sits down at their seats. I pick up on what I got from the crime scene earlier as I look at the writings on my notepad.
A man in his 30s or so
About 5-6 feet tall.
Name: unknown.
A half broken mirror with blood leaking down the cracks.
An axe that would mainly be used for chopping down wood.
Who in their right mind.. well I mean they are not stable of course it's a murderer, what am I thinking.. maybe I should leave it for tonight and pick the case back up tomorrow morning.
